Emigration - this is how it works!

1. Apply for a valid passport
   
   To emigrate to non-European countries you need a valid passport. If you do not have one yet, you should apply for it.
   
   
2. Determine the length of the trip and apply for documents
   
   In most countries you need a visa for a longer stay abroad. So you should determine the length of your trip and apply for an entry permit if necessary. Also about necessary vaccinations (especially when traveling to Africa) or work permits should be determined depending on the country.
   
   
3. Languages and studying

   You should also have a health, accident and liability insurance abroad. Especially in the USA these insurances are something you should take care of.
   
   
5. Money and transport
   
   Discuss your stay abroad with your local bank and check whether your driver's license is also valid abroad, or how to get around there.
   
   
6. Customs and documents
   
   When crossing the border, you should be familiar with the customs rules. In addition, a copy of the most important documents such as passport, visa and insurance is useful.
   
   
7. Final plans
