The new LAGERBOX app

The LAGERBOX app brings together a wide range of features related to your storage unit and rental agreement - from digital access to your location to downloading invoices and contractual documents.

One particularly practical feature is that the traditional key fob is no longer strictly required to access the location. Gates and doors can now be opened directly via smartphone. This makes using your storage unit even more convenient, while many tasks can be handled digitally without any additional effort.

How Digital Access Works

Existing customers can download the app and sign in using the email address or mobile phone number provided when the rental agreement was concluded. For secure login, a security code is then sent by email or SMS. Once the code has been entered, the personal account area is immediately available.

To access the location, first select the relevant rental agreement in the app. The available access points are displayed under “Gates and doors”. The desired door or gate can then be unlocked directly via smartphone.

Your personal storage unit itself remains secured and opened with your own padlock, as usual.

What Features Does the LAGERBOX App Offer?

Renting a storage unit - straightforward, quick and now even more digital. Much of the information and many of the documents required in connection with a rental agreement are available directly via smartphone.

Among other things, customers can: view their existing rental agreements, digitally open gates and doors at the relevant location, grant other people access to the location, view opening hours, contact details and location information, download invoices, rental agreements and other documents and terminate their rental agreement digitally.

This means that important information is no longer spread across different places but is brought together in a single application. This makes everyday tasks easier, particularly when documents are needed at short notice or access to the storage unit needs to be shared with another person.

Sharing Access with Other People

Access can also be shared with others through the app. This can be particularly useful when family members, employees or other authorised individuals also need access to the location.

A person can be added as a contact through the relevant rental agreement and granted access. The invited person must also use the app and sign in with their email address. Once granted, access can be revoked at a later date. This ensures that you can always keep track of and control who should have access.
